Splash!

Happy Fall!  I have finally had a little time to create again.  One of my new favorite products is A Muse Studio's Splash!  It is a quick-drying spray ink with a fabulous matte finish.  I used it here in Cherry for some bookmarks that I made as thank-yous for my customers.  If you have ordered something from me lately and haven't gotten one - don't worry - it's in the mail (or will be soon:)).  This project was inspired by a very similar one made by my friend Su.  I used the Nevermore set by A Muse.  It includes a background stamp perfectly sized for bookmarks imprinted with passages from The Raven as well as the clock and raven shown below.  Both bookmarks actually used Vanilla paper, but were photographed in different lighting conditions.

All supplies by A Muse Studio unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Nevermore
Paper: Onyx, Vanilla
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Slate (top photo)
Accessories: Cherry Splash!, Cherry satin ribbon, cherry/white baker's twine, jumbo eyelet from SU!, black eyelet from my stash

Here is a picture of the entire Nevermore stamp set:

You may also view it on page 4 of the Amuse Studio Holiday Catalog linked here.  Happy stamping, and stayed tuned for some exciting offers from A Muse Studio during the month of October.

A Muse Studio New Catalog Blog Hop!

Welcome to this month's A Muse Studio consultant blog hop!  Today I am joining some fellow consultants in sharing brand new items from A Muse Studio's 2012 catalog, which you can peruse here or by clicking the picture on the right.  You should have arrived here from Rita's blog.  If not, please go back to the beginning of the hop at Karen's blog to see all the new A Muse goodness.

My card uses the new Floral Duet set.   I wanted some larger flowers on which I could practice my Copic coloring.  This set is great because it includes two sizes of flowers in both an outline and solid design.  If you don't feel like coloring, you don't have to.:) My card also features one of the yummy new colors in the Venetian Palette - Lido.  I stamped and colored these flowers and then cut them out and popped them up on this wonderful cardstock.

All supplies by A Muse Studio.
Stamps: Floral Duet, Essential Sentiments
Paper: Lido solid, Lido patterned, Orange
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Onyx/White Baker's Twine, Copic markers

The Floral Duet stamp set and Lido cardstock are both featured in this month's A Muse Studio spotlight.  I've been coloring madly, so look for more samples later.  Meanwhile, next on the hop is Tracey Jean.  In case you get lost on the way, a list of all the participants is below.  Be sure to leave them some love.  Happy Stamping!

Valentines

Here are a few valentines that I came up with for a crop that I attended last night.  The first two are very simple cards that I used for make and takes.  Many of the ladies at the crop had never heard of A Muse Studio, so it was a great way to introduce them to their products.  As you can see, the addition of one element on the second card by my friend Carla:) helped to punch up that card a little.   I love the My Aim is True set.  Not only are they lovely stamps, but they also bring to mind this wonderful classic from Elvis Costello.  They also fit the theme for this week's challenge at the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog.  Please check them out for more A Muse goodness!
